As part of its ambition to strengthen its presence in fast-growing strategic segments, the Cofinair Group is recruiting its new Business Development Director – Data Centers, a global position dedicated to the development of the Data Center market.
Data Center Business Development Director
The Data Center Business Development Director will be responsible for identifying, establishing, and developing long-term relationships with clients in the sector, both domestically and internationally.
This role covers both commercial and technical aspects: identifying prospects, engaging key decision-makers, and defining tailored solutions in collaboration with internal teams.
The position will provide direct support to the Sales Directors in France, Germany, and Italy to accelerate penetration of the Data Center segment, as well as to the Export team for the development of international markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market development & prospecting:
Identify key players in the Data Center ecosystem (operators, integrators, engineering offices, contractors), lead prospecting campaigns, and represent the Group at industry events. - Commercial support to local teams:
Assist Sales Directors in France, Germany, and Italy in acquiring new projects and provide direct support to the Export team for high-potential international markets. - Definition of technical solutions:
Collaborate with engineering and operations to translate client needs into differentiating solutions, contribute to commercial proposals and strategic tenders. - Client relationship management:
Develop strategic key accounts, ensure client satisfaction, and build long-term partnerships. - Cross-functional contribution:
Share best practices, contribute to market intelligence, ensure CRM follow-up, and maintain reliable sales forecasts.
Key Qualifications:
- Degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent
- Significant experience in business development / key account management, with at least 5 years in the Data Center sector or related industries (HVAC, energy, industrial equipment), handling complex sales
- Ability to work in multicultural environments and coordinate multiple stakeholders
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills
- Fluent English is required; proficiency in French, German, or Italian is a plus.
